Many great ideas never see the light because they didn’t financially plan. Here are a few tips that will help you to plan ahead, and not overspend.

Investors

You need investors! You would be surprised but individuals are more prone to investing than you would think. Although you need to have a game plan, if they don’t see any potential profit than they won’t take the risk.

Account For Everything

There are many hidden costs in film making, and you don’t want that. You need to account for everything. When the time comes it’s better to be over prepared than under prepared.

Know Your Market

Know your genre! You need to know your market; who will be attracted, and who won’t. This is a key part of the process because investments, all the way to marketing is based on to who and what you’re marketing. If you don’t know, neither will your audience.

Campaign

Showcase your film; that means Film Festivals. The movie is for the consumer, so it would make sense that if you give them what they want they’re going to want to more! Build up hype, let your audience in. If you are able to do this than you already have sold your crowd before your movie has even hits the store shelves!

Planning a road trip? Your options are almost endless as there are many locations to choose from. Sometimes too much for one to handle alone. Don’t worry were here to help! The best time to plan this trip is from mid September through to early October. Quaint towns, many different landscapes, & all the warm scarlet orange and red’s that the sky has to offer will be accompanying you through your trip. Northeast New England reigns supreme when it comes to fall colors and should be at the top of your list. Route 17, in Maine starts from Rockland and leads you all the way to the state capital of Augusta. Here you will see all the different Autumn colors, and landscapes that Maine has to offer. The 88-mile loop in Vermont is also a great location. Starting from the center of the state you will be taken along Routes 100,107,12 and 106, all leading you though places like Woodstock, Killington, and Barnard. Overall it doesn’t mater where you go, as long as you go. There are many different roads just waiting for you to explore! For more fall road trips visit

The Ride IS The Destination

Making a movie is an interesting endeavor… especially if you have never done it before…

When I started with LiveMedia Entertainment, I was their very first intern. Considering the company had a grand total of 6 employees (3 of which were owners), it is no surprise that there was no established internship program. Little did I know, being an intern with a startup video production company would end up taking me on one of the greatest adventures of my life.

LiveMedia has always been a “let’s go get ‘em” kind of company. We know we lack the experience and education, but we also know that those limitations are only excuses if we let them be. And this we do know: there are no limitations on what we can accomplish beyond those we allow to be placed upon us. So we decided to make a full length feature film with no experience, next to no equipment, and a seriously small cast and even smaller crew. But we did not let that stop us… we rarely do.

So now we are on year three of this incredible journey. We have edited, re-edited, and then, just in case, edited some more. We are finally getting all of our ducks in a row – making sure we cross every T and dot every I. I don’t think that anyone in this company could possibly foresee the length of the process set before us. But funny thing about this project: we fell in love with it. And like all things that you love, you don’t care what it takes to make it happy. All you know is that you will do whatever it takes. And right now, that is truly how we feel about No Parking. Our tagline for the movie was more of a
prediction than a slogan:

THE RIDE IS THE DESTINATION

We are hoping and praying that No Parking will soon be able to be where it belongs – in your hands. There have been so many people who have walked with us, whether it was for a mile or for 2500, we could not be where we are today without you. Thank you for taking this trip with us. Thank you for being our support, our family, our friends, and our inspiration. Without you, this ride would have been a lot less interesting!

Keep your eyes out because No Parking IS coming to a store near you!

Thank you for taking the ride,

Bridgette Millar
